PROJECT: The Parish
OBJECTIVE: Replace old and rented equipment with a complete lighting, control and rigging system that would integrate into a 2nd story, <10' ceiling, 100+ year old historical building. Lighting must be able to be moved and easily remounted and programmed to accomodate incoming touring acts. OBSTACLES: Wooden structure, low ceiling + 2' stage height, Utilize existing 80A electrical service, HVAC obtruction over stage right. RESULTS: Utilizing an engineered unistrut and 2" pipe grid. The entire light show can easily be rearranged to accomadate a host of Venue clients and acts. Thanks to the participation of Matt (Jonezy) Jones, who is the Parish resident LD and owner of synaesthesiax , all programming has been easily accomplished by the visiting LD after a required briefing or from Jonezy. Followup: Both Jonezy and Kat (2nd operator) purchased PC Wings in early 2011 to use on other gigs they outside of the Parish. Both love the operating system and ease of integration with existing systems. |
